SIEI DC speed controller TPD32 - EV Technical Specifications
1. The TPD32 converter comes in two types: the TPD2...2B two-quadrant converter and the TPD32...4B four-quadrant converter.
2. This DC drive can be controlled using different methods: terminal board, keyboard, RS485 serial interface, or bus connection (optional).
3. The desired setpoint is achieved by modifying the Main Commands and Control Mode parameters in the CONFIGURATION menu.
4. The device is equipped with user-interface software designed for use in the MS-WINDOWSTM environment, enabling control of the drive unit via an RS485 serial interface.
4. The device is factory-set to use cascade current regulation for speed control, and should be connected according to the wiring diagram shown in the “Standard Wiring Diagram.”
5. For the initial trial operation of this device, simply enter the parameters of the DC motor into the START UP menu of the software. Then, after all parameters have been set via the keyboard (START UP/Main Commands), you can control the drive unit through the terminal block.
6. If the required functions are not available in the standard configuration, you can select these functions through the corresponding menu and set their parameters.
7. Standard devices with programmable input/output expansion can be used, requiring a TBO optional card. Up to two TBOs can be installed. Each TBO features 4 digital inputs, 4 digital outputs, and 2 analog outputs. The standard drive is equipped with three analog inputs.
The TPD32 series of transmission units allows setting parameter values for the given integrator (RAMP) and speed regulator using different units of measurement: the speed base value (rotational speed base value) can be expressed in revolutions per minute. Alternatively, a unit of measurement (dimension) defined by a factor function can also be used—for example, rotational speed can be expressed in meters per second.
8. Password 1, which can be freely chosen, will prevent unauthorized personnel from operating the transmission unit without permission. It is entered as a five-digit combination. Password 2 is provided by the manufacturer. This password enables maintenance personnel to access maintenance menus that are not accessible to users.
