A sensible heat ratio close to 1.0
The sensible heat ratio is defined as the sensible cooling capacity divided by the total cooling capacity. In air conditioners, the sensible cooling capacity is used to lower the air temperature, while the latent cooling capacity is used to remove humidity. In data center environments, since electronic equipment generates only sensible heat and there is very little need for dehumidification, air conditioners with higher sensible heat ratios exhibit greater energy efficiency in such settings. Compared to conventional comfort-oriented air conditioners, data center air conditioners—with a sensible heat ratio close to 1—can save substantial amounts of electricity under the same cooling demand, enabling rapid payback of the initial investment in data center air conditioning systems.
Under standard operating conditions, the cold air ratio ranges from 3.2 to 4.3.
The cold air ratio is the ratio of total cooling capacity to hourly air supply volume, with the unit being W/(m³/h). A high cold air ratio can lead to significant dehumidification and a low air exchange rate, resulting in reduced air-conditioning efficiency and unstable ambient temperatures in the computer room. Conversely, an excessively low cold air ratio can cause excessively high air velocities and excessive noise levels within the computer room. A properly balanced cold air ratio can provide a safe, reliable, and comfortable environment for the computer room.
Copeland Scroll Compressor
The scroll compressor is a widely used type of compressor in air-conditioning systems. It features a simple and compact design, few moving parts, and a lightweight construction. Its high energy efficiency ratio and ability to start under any system load make air conditioners both energy-efficient and reliable. Compared to conventional compressors, it produces lower noise levels and is not susceptible to liquid slugging.
Large-area flat-plate evaporator
The plate-type evaporator ensures uniform and thorough contact between the fins and the air. Compared to V-shaped and A-shaped evaporators, it significantly reduces air resistance and air backflow, thereby lowering the power consumption of the fan. At the same time, the plate-type evaporator requires fewer bends in the refrigerant copper tubes, resulting in lower flow resistance inside the tubes and substantially reducing the workload on the compressor.

Temperature control accuracy of ±1°C
Modern IT communication equipment needs to operate in a reliable and stable ambient temperature environment, and the requirements for temperature control accuracy are becoming increasingly stringent. Eaton’s SAC precision air conditioners can ensure stable temperatures with a narrow temperature deviation of less than ±1°C, whereas conventional comfort air conditioners typically have deviations exceeding ±3°C.
Dehumidification capacity: 0~5%
More precise and rigorously controlled dehumidification capabilities can provide data centers with a more stable humidity environment, significantly reducing the risks of condensation and component corrosion caused by excessive humidity, as well as the risks of electrostatic discharge and hardware damage resulting from excessively low humidity.

Controllable humidification and heating
The three-stage electric heater, with a maximum output of 27 kW, can prevent the air in the machine room from becoming excessively cold when the room load is low or the ambient temperature is low. The three types of electrode humidifiers—5 kg/h, 8 kg/h, and 15 kg/h—can meet the air humidity adjustment needs of different regions, and the humidification capacity of each humidifier can be automatically adjusted within a wide range.
Operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
Compared to conventional air conditioners, which operate only during summer and for just a few hours each day, data center loads run year-round, placing higher demands on the air conditioner’s operating time and reliability. The Eaton SAC series precision air conditioners offer system reliability as high as 99.999%, fully meeting the data center’s requirement of operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
