The Vertiv Liebert SDC2 Smart Dual-Cycle Energy-Saving Unit is an air-conditioning system that makes full use of outdoor natural cooling sources to reduce the unit’s energy consumption. It achieves both conventional cooling and energy-saving cooling within the same refrigeration system, featuring a highly integrated design. By not introducing fresh air, this unit maintains the enclosure’s airtightness and cleanliness, making it suitable for deployment in any data center. In addition to the two operating modes—mechanical compression cooling and low-temperature energy-saving cooling—the SDC2 introduces a hybrid cooling mode. When the outdoor temperature is ≤20℃, the hybrid cooling mode can be activated. In this mode, a variable-frequency pump assists the compressor’s operation, reducing the compressor’s power consumption while increasing the system’s cooling capacity and energy efficiency ratio.
